Assaf Frank
After a successful 17 year career in IT, Assaf decided in 2004 to pursue his passion for photography and invested in a Hasselblad H1 with a 22mg digital back. Since then he has been building a collection of high quality digital images.
His varied collection includes travel, landscapes, close-up macro abstract flowers and conceptual portraits. Close-up macro work inspires Assaf, not knowing what he will see his images appear 3 dimensional as he shoots with a shallow depth of field with much of the subject out of focus.
Assaf’s work was launched in 2008 to the trade at the NEC Spring fair. He was quickly picked up by Publishers and his work has been selected for retail collections for spring 2009. In summer 2008 he commissioned Pepper Stark to help him create a stock collection for his material and get this ready for international distribution.
